The Nikoodi Safety Association was established as a non profit organization on March 27, 2009. The objectives of the corporation are: to develop safer work environments through the analysis of hazards and controls to reduce the probability and severity of incidents for Aboriginal Peoples; to organize a new Certifying (CP) endorsed by Alberta Employment and Immigration (AEI) specific to Aboriginal Peoples and its enterprises; to increase Certificate of Recognition (COR) participation by Aboriginal Peoples in order that Aboriginal Peoples have greater capacity to capitalize on existing work opportunities and build steps towards a risk management model; to provide quality compulsory and customized training programs and develop guidelines and training for audit reviews in conjunction with maintaining databases for Certificate of Recognition (COR) and auditing.
